Music, CopyrightThere are multiple options for the music portion of submissions to the 2008 Hockomock Film Festival. Please review this entire page. In all Hockomock Film Festival activities, participating schools shall certify that all audio and visual material they submit is fully the creation of the school submitting the work, or that written permission has been secured from the copyright holder to use the material in this instance.
Besides the above, there are also music selections that are available on this web site that do not involve securing permission. There are two sets of selections: the first is free and the second requires a payment that includes the license. The first category are indeed no cost, free downloads created for the Hockomock Film Festival and also do not require permission to use them in your production. But, of course, do not in anyway make them available elsewhere for a fee. And you should credit the composer in your titles. The first set of pieces are: The second set is "free" in the sense that you only have to purchase it from the Music2Hues.com web site and thus do not have to worry about permissions because that is included in the price of the selection, or 'free' as an incentive to use it. You can listen to each piece before you purchase it. We will waive the entry fee - so do not send in the $5.00 with your entry. And please be sure to read the information re: the legal constraints.
